Our Story
It was in 2001 when Mr. George Bampatsikos, having a long experience in trading from his father Christos, founded one of the first souvenir shops at the old port of chania, at Kondilaki street, the name of which is “LATERNA” until today.
Three years later as a result of his methodical customer centered efford, he faces great success and expands his business with the opening of a second store in 2004, “Temple Gift Shop“, a few meters further, at Skoufon street, in a historical building of the old city.
As the time passed, his children Vaso and Christos grew up and started to occupate with trading. Having as an exemplar their grandfather and their father, in 2016 they move on the establishment of a third store in Chalidon street called “BabaTSIKOS“.
In the meantime, in 2014 they started trading handmade mosaic lamps which impress their customers and have a great affection from the people of different nationalities.
After that, in the year 2019, they proceed to acquire another store named “BONAMAS” in the street of Kondilaki of the Old Town Harbor.
After the continious insistence of the store’s regular customers to have the ability to purchase any time from their favourite shop and aknowledging the contemporareous needs of the consumers we created this e-shop with the belief that you will love it as the rest of our stores.
